Will Ehrenfeld joined the staff of P-TECH after one year working in the Office of Postsecondary Readiness of the New York City Department of Education. In November 2010, a few days into his tenure at the DOE, he was assigned to work on what was called the "postsecondary partnership school," later named P-TECH. Will followed the school's development through the end of his time in central office, working closely with Principal Davis and our partners on the steering committee. In August 2011, he was hired as a community coordinator at P-TECH, serving in that role for the school's first year. After that, he was hired as a social studies teacher, focusing on U.S. history. He has held a variety of roles at the school, including UFT chapter leader, IBM liaison and boys soccer coach.

In September 2023, he was promoted to be Assistant Principal - Partnerships, with responsibility for the unique early college and career programming at the school. Based on early experience in politics--including the primary campaign of President Obama--he believes deeply in democracy and shared decision-making. This means that if you have a good idea, we want to hear from you! Your voice matters, and parents and students need to have a role in shaping this school.
