Internships
After the third year of high school (junior year at most schools), students have the opportunity to complete an internship at IBM or one of our partners. Students are eligible once they have completed three years of study and taken at least one college course. Although these students are the same age as a typical junior in high school (16-17), they have earned some college credit. Although most internships take place during the summer, we also place student interns during fall and spring terms.
P-TECH students have interned at many big employers and smaller companies alike, including IBM, Etsy, J.P. Morgan, New York Power Authority, the MTA, local schools and nonprofits, and the list continues to grow.
Ms. Johnson and Mr. Saunders are our work-based learning team, and they support students with internships.
If you are interested in learning more about the P-TECH internship program, contact the school's Industry Liaison Will Ehrenfeld.
