How Can Parents Support Student Learning?

Students at P-TECH are engaged in traditional classroom learning as well as online learning that can be done from anywhere. As we all know, parent engagement and support is absolutely essential for our students. Research shows that when parents/guardians are involved in their children’s learning, children’s performance in school improves.

Parents should sign up for an account with Achieve 3000, our school's literacy tool. Please contact an English teacher or the main office with any questions or to get started.

In addition, we are part of the iLearn NYC pilot project, which gives many students at our school access to additional online learning resources. Parents are the most important out-of-school factor in terms of student learning, so you need to have the tools available to help your child. See below for the resources that the city provides to all parents, to help you stay on top of what your children are learning and how you can help. And of course, contact a teacher or other staff member with specific questions.
